12/25/2023 0 Comments Mike hall height rust brosHanging off cliffs and blowing stuff up is how Mike got his nickname – Rasta Blasta. He has previously appeared as rock climber on the show ‘Highway Through Hell’ which features daring rescues of road accidents in the treacherous terrain of the British Columbia mountains. Speaking of “hanging from cliffs”, this is not the first time Mike has been on reality tv. Apparently, Mike has made all his money in the construction business and most of it has gone into buying old junk cars. Before he went into restoring cars full-time, Mike owned a slope stabilization business, Chimera Springs Rock Works, which he summarizes as “hanging from cliffs and blowing shit up”, in typical Mike fashion. Since Mike is not active on social media, there is no more information present about the identity of his wife or other kids apart from son Connor, who also is a part of the show’s main cast. That’s why Mike has to keep all of his collection in Tappen. It is known that Mike’s wife does not share her husband’s crazy love of cars and has forbidden him from bringing any old cars onto their farm. On the show, Mike has not talked much about his family but we do know that he lives with his wife and dog Minnie on a 26-acre farm. Although not many details about the man are public knowledge, it is widely believed that Mike received all his education in Canada itself. Tappen is where Mike owns about five acres of land near Shuswap Lake where he keeps all of his 400 vintage cars. The show ‘Rust Valley Restorers’ is set in the little town of Tappen in British Columbia. Mike first started his vintage car collection as a teenager and has amassed 400 odd cars in a span of 40 years. Mike moved to Kamloops as a kid after his dad got a job with CP Rail. The eccentric hippie is Canadian through and through, born and raised in Saint Boniface, Manitoba.

12/25/2023 0 Comments Tudors big tatorStepping up to the counter we were greeted by a long list of choices, including The Politician (biscuit sandwich with bologna, egg, and cheese), The Thundering Herd (biscuit with sausage, hash brown patty, egg, and cheese), and The Peppi (biscuit with pepperoni and cheese). It was an unassuming spot resembling an old-school donut shop or diner. We got off the exit for the town of Marmet and rolled up to a Tudor’s Biscuit World. Though we’d eaten breakfast shortly before, my sister insisted we stop and get one of their biscuits to share. With time to kill, Kim and I discussed at some length what the origins of this name could be, none of which bears repeating. The further we drove into the heart of the state, the more signs we saw for the curiously-named Tudor’s Biscuit World. The only real certainty about West Virginia I have gained is that they make terrific biscuits. I can’t speak much to the people beyond saying that we were repeatedly called “honey” and “sweetheart,” and that despite this hospitality I felt us without question to be Yankees. What’s more, the landscape seems to consist exclusively of the tightly packed Appalachian mountains, creating the impression of many small worlds hidden away this gave it a private and even mysterious air. Though they likely have their reasons for preferring in some cases to be left alone, I could likewise see why people here feel forgotten their world is their own, and as such is quite distinct from the America I inhabit. Not wanting to draw any undue attention to themselves, they’ve by extension not drawn any attention to their state. I couldn’t come up with a satisfactory answer, save the feeling that modest people make modest states. But I reflected quite a lot, as we weaved through the increasingly beautiful countryside, on why West Virginia is often overlooked. Though I grew up in nearby Ohio, I hadn’t given the food of West Virginia even one moment’s thought. This is somewhat hyperbolic but not entirely. On a recent road trip through West Virginia with my sister Kim, I had a life-changing experience. 12/25/2023 0 Comments Starmade modsChanged chamber size formula, to not force certain reactor sizes for optimal mass efficiency Rebalanced chamber capacity requirements across the board (see document below) Set maximum power from stabilization to 100%. The following is a short overview of the most important changes, with a more comprehensive document of all changes available via a link below. The Quickfire config changes cover a broad spectrum of StarMade's systems, which have been determined to be broken or imbalanced in the vanilla game. The Quickfire team is available for any support, question, suggestion for changes, or barrage of rotten tomatoes on their thread here, or in their discord server As such, you should expect that most ships will require refits to function. Most systems are balanced very differently than they were previously, including power consumption, mass, potency per block, and even some aspects of mechanics. This is a complete overhaul of the game's configs. The config set was created by Quickfire's core team of configurators, with input from other members of the community, including PvP enthusiasts, creative builders, and others. The Quickfire Initiative configs are very different from the old defaults. To make modding and general extensions of the game easier the game's code is now unobfuscated. It introduces balance changes that the Quickfire initiative developed and tested. For this reason, this will probably be the last update on the non-universe-update version of StarMade. The universe update is well underway and the code bases are now so different that any change on the old version takes a lot of time because of migrating. Muons are similar to electrons but about 200 times heavier. For such imaging capabilities, a more powerful particle is needed.ĭARPA’s Muons for Science & Security program (MuS2 – pronounced Mew-S-2) aims to create a compact source of deeply penetrating subatomic particles known as muons. But none of these sources can image through concrete walls several meters thick, map the core of a volcano from the outside, or peer deep underground to locate chambers and tunnels. The Defense Department and other federal agencies have sought advanced sources that generate gamma rays, X-rays, neutrons, protons, and electrons to enable a variety of scientific, commercial, and defense applications – from medical diagnostics, to scans of cargo containers for dangerous materials, to non-destructive testing of aircraft and their parts to see internal defects. The goals of the MuS2 Proposers Day are to (1) introduce the research community (Proposers, Academia, and Government) to the MuS2 program vision and goals, (2) explain the mechanics of a DARPA program and the milestones of this particular effort, and (3) encourage and promote teaming arrangements among potential organizations that have the relevant expertise, facilities, and capabilities for executing a research and development program responsive to the MuS2 program goals. 12/25/2023 0 Comments Blacklight temporary tattoosTukoi Oya said, “I feel like when you add some UV here and there it looks best. “If it gets anything too dark even smeared into it, it can negatively affect its ability to glow.” Tattoo by Kayla Newell What types of pieces might work best as a UV tattoo? “The neon inks I use are pretty thick, much like white ink, so you have to be careful that it doesn’t separate or mix with any other colors once it’s been laid in,” she said. While Newell says the process of tattooing with UV ink is more or less the same in every way to traditional tattooing, she says the only difference is the pigment itself. After all, the whole point is to create an invisible tattoo.” “One last thing is I make sure to get the ink in 1-3 passes max, to ensure the skin’s safety from scarring. The machine has to be turned down low and a uv light must be used periodically throughout the process,” Ceora said. I also remove the stencil almost completely to avoid any trace of the ink contaminating the tattoo. “The tattoo is done with a plastic disposable tip to avoid any discoloration. Pickles, feeling that that is “the best stuff, especially for fine line tattoos.”Ĭeora Ink’s Samantha Ceora, in LA, notes that the stencil can contaminate the “invisible effect” of a blacklight tattoo Tukoi Oya only “rates the lighter colors,” like yellow, pink, orange and green, and notes, “the purples and blues do not reflect as bright with the UV light because they’re darker pigments.” “When they are healed they also have a kind of pastel and watered-down look, so you can see the phosphorus reflect through it.” “The consistency of the brand I use is pretty thin and opaque, so when you’re doing solid patches of color you need to be really careful not to overwork the skin, because it feels like more of a grey wash than normal color to apply,” Oya said. But I would not recommend this route to anyone else.” How do you tattoo differently with the different ink?Īustralian tattoo artist, Tukoi Oya, started tattooing with UV ink with a “rave til the grave” attitude. “All of the pink ink has nearly faded but the strange thing is that it does still glow under a blacklight. It was some Skin Candy knock-off brand that I think I bought because it was the cheapest shit on there. “My first blacklight tattoo was self-administered and done using this terrible quality UV pink ink that I found on Amazon. Kayla Newell, tattoo artist at Secret Club Tattoo in Portand, Oregon, had fallen victim to the UV ink-supply from Amazon when she first started with black light. “This was weird because I run my machine pretty low, and it’s very rare that my tattoos get anywhere near as irritated as this was.” “With the teeth, I used a shader on the whole thing and it got super irritated in the skin,” McCloud said. He used his liner needles to apply the ink. “They released green, red, pink, etc., so I ordered the green to give it a try.” Tattoo by Quinton McCloudįor McCloud’s second round, he tattooed a Xenomorph mouth mock of plastic vampire teeth. “I asked him why I never really saw or heard of anyone getting them, and he told me that the only place you could get UV ink at the time was from sources that weren’t really trustworthy tattoo suppliers, like eBay and Amazon,” McCloud said.Ī couple years later, McCloud stumbled upon Kurosumi Ink’s UV pigment line, Kuro Sumi Glow. McCloud always wanted to try blacklight tattoos, but said during his apprenticeship, the mentor dismissed the credibility of the newly-budding practice. The tattoo, of a gecko wearing a party hat, is best highlighted with UV ink, in the “here and there” spots McCloud tested it on: on the fingernails, in the party hat, and in the confetti. “Because it was my first time doing it, I just wanted to test it out by putting a little here and there,” McCloud said. Quinton McCloud, tattoo artist at Karmic Tattoo in South Atlanta, had done his first black light tattoo with hesitance to “over glow.” How does the process differ from a “regular” tattoo? INKED talks to blacklight tattoo artists about the ins and outs of the UV tattoo trend. This is why it is important to make sure the tattoo artist, and shop you are going to, are reputable and have worked with black light tattoos before. UV ink is thinner and harder to work with. Blacklight tattoos can boost the concept of the tattoo, like glowing up the beam of a flying saucer or add a little flair, like to the spots on a tiny teacup. Done properly, UV ink can make a tattoo look its best, making it as if the tattoo was made for blacklight ink. UV tattoos are a cute “pop” in the tattoo world, and are gaining popularity for their creative twist on the traditional tattoo. Black light tattoos do not glow-in-the-dark in the same way your star stickers in your childhood bedroom glow. 12/25/2023 0 Comments Travel space saver bags quotesDefinitely a Great and an Effective Protection Way to your items and protect it from somethings that would damage or even ruin your clothes or fabric 【No Leak and Airtight 】Our Vaccuum Sealing Bags are made with double-zipper closure and ultra-secure triple seal turbo valve which provides a secure seal and air-tight suction, they will ensure no air gets back into the vacuum sealing bags to ruin what's being stored. Therefore, hardware acceleration only works when transform itself is animated. When you want to click something specific on the slide, like each arrow shape here, to start an animation effect, use a trigger. Note on transform: Motion allows animating independent transforms like x and scale, while browsers don't. #Supported valuesĭifferent browsers are capable of accelerating different values so Framer Motion supports a superset of them. It even does some work to ensure features that don't traditionally work on the GPU are supported, like spring animations, custom easing functions, velocity transfer and animation interruption. For this reason, Motion's hybrid engine intelligently decides when an animation can safely run on the GPU, falling back to JavaScript animations when it needs the additional functionality. However, native browser animation APIs offer fewer features than Framer Motion's JavaScript animations. GPU animations are also more energy efficient, leading to lower battery usage. Running animations on the GPU enables smoother performance, especially in situations where the main JavaScript thread becomes busy. Browsers are able to run some animations via the GPU using CSS or the Web Animations API (WAAPI).
